How you noticed that in recent years the number of usability professionals has increased dramatically? I have. It is great to see my profession FINALLY getting some traction. It seems like many organizations are finally understanding that they need to understand their users and design to the mental model of users — and not programmers (unless, of course they are developing IDE’s!!). There has even been some “C-level” executives positions for UXers. (see Time to define the CXO)
It is great to see this happen to an profession that has been promoting “co-operatition” among its members for so long. When the tide rises all of the boats move up!
I will continue to do my part. To write, To speak and to mentor.
How to see you at the next conference! (and the boardroom!)
