There are a bunch of great sites on the web about usability. Here are a few:

To start, take a look at a former colleague site called BadDesigns.com

The world's most famous Usability Bug

Useit.com Run by Jacob Nielsen is a great resource for UI information and links to even more.

People often throw around the terms "objective" and "subjective" when talking about the results of a usability test. These terms are frequently equated with the statistical terms "quantitative" and "qualitative". The analogy is false, and this misunderstanding can have consequences for the interpretations and conclusions of usability tests. http://www.userfocus.co.uk/articles/datathink.html

Here are a few links on the "Stroop Effect" The Stroop Effect is an important cognitive psychological phenomena that is often used in our seminars.
